Things Are Different, But Still The Same

First, I would like to thank all our wonderful clients who have supported us and visited during this unprecedented time. We appreciate your patience, understanding and kindness as we navigate the “new normal.”

Although our office visits may be a little different, rest assured that we are committed to providing the same loving and high standard of care that you have come to expect from us, while maintaining the safety of our clients, staff and our patients.

We will continue to provide curbside care appointments as we move into June. Please keep in mind that the summer months are traditionally our busiest—so we would encourage you to book early for your pet’s next visit.

To increase availability, we have extended our hours in June and have added additional appointment times on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings and evenings at 8:30AM and 6PM. We have also set aside appointments for sick or urgent cases who need to be seen the same day. These appointments often fill very quickly, so if you have a concern about your pet please call as soon as possible after we open at 8:00 a.m.

Our phone lines have become extremely busy since we’ve moved to handling all appointment booking, check-ins, and payments by phone. Although we try to avoid it, we may have to place you on a brief hold. All our team members have been jumping in as much as possible to help answer the phones, and we are trying our best to minimize the need to put you on hold as well as the wait time when it’s necessary to do so.

To decrease phone traffic, we would encourage you to utilize our PetDesk app which allows you to request appointments, medications or ask questions of our staff. We can also text you using this app, and you can check in for your appointments this way as well. The app allows you to access all your pet’s bloodwork and vaccination history too, so it is a great tool. Even if you don’t have the app, you can utilize the appointment request page on our website and request refills there as well.

Until it is safe to welcome you all back into the building, we will continue with our curbside drop-off service, which works as follows:

  • Call us when you arrive, and one of our technicians will come out to get your pet and bring them inside for their appointment.
  • The veterinarian will then call or come out to talk with you to discuss their examination findings and treatment options if any are needed.
  • We ask that everyone please wear a mask when interacting with our staff.

If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch by calling us at (203) 584-7822, or dropping us an email via the website. We can’t wait to welcome you all back inside again, and until then stay safe!
