Clinton Veterinary Hospital takes all forms of surgery quite seriously. We don’t like to call any surgery “routine.” But, it is in our routine to assess your pet’s ability to handle anesthesia safely and ensure a stress- and pain-free experience and recovery, whether we are doing a quick spay/neuter or a more involved tumor removal or bone repair.
Pre- and Post-Operative Care
Surgery is not just about what happens on the operating table. A positive surgical experience involves keeping your pet and you stress free. This is done through:
- A thorough physical exam to make sure your pet can manage anesthetics.
- A complete explanation of why and how your pet will be operated on.
- Easy-to-follow instructions for home care.
- Every medication you will need to manage pain.
At Clinton Veterinary Hospital, we provide top-of-the-line surgical services across the board. We use a board-certified surgeon for all orthopedic surgery. Your dog’s or cat’s bones are just too quality-of-life critical not to.
Board-certified means a veterinarian completed a rigorous process of extra study and testing recognized by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). The process takes three or more years to complete.
